Rhett Lowder Timeline, Christian Encarnacion-Strand-Reha

Cincinnati Reds Manager Terry Francona put out a few injury updates on Friday. One was much more promising than the other. According to Francona, Pitcher Rhett Lowder suffered a significant oblique injury at the beginning of this week at his rehabilitation start in Triple-A Louisville. However, Christian Encarnacion-Strand goes to the derby city when he takes the next step in his rehab task.

Lowder left his last start after he had thrown only one field during the second inn. The right -hander immediately came from the hill and was seen as he favored his left side. Francona used the word “significant” during the press conference on Friday on Friday, and Jim Day from Fanduel Sports Network offered even more context during the opener of the Reds Series against the Chicago Cubs.

“When you hear weird loads, alarm bells go out,” said Day. “And then more alarm bells if you describe Terry Francona as quite significantly. No schedule of the red, but we talk to this kind of injury for months.”

Day is right, we're talking about months. He later mentioned that Lowder was in Cincinnati to continue testing himself, and although the results are still unknown, the letter on the wall is probably out until after the All Star break.

This is nothing new for the red McLain who has lost in the past due to a weird injury, and it is the same kind of injury that Tyler Stephenson was discarding the beginning of this year. However, Lowder's sounds very serious. While his presence is currently not needed in the rotation of the red, this could change pretty quickly.

Wade Miley works back from an injury and gives the launch trotation of the red a certain degree of depth. With Carson Spiers on the 60-day il he can only return in mid-June. Cincinnatis Pitching depth has certainly scored a goal in the past few weeks.

The rehabilitation task of Christian Encarnacion-Strand is shifting according to Triple-A Louisville

Encarnacion beach left the red team complex in Arizona and drives to Louisville. The talented Reds -Slugger has been a violation of the lower back on the IL since April 17th. Before hit the injured list, CES only met 15 games of .158/.183/.298.

If Encarnacion beach is ready, it can find it difficult to secure a place in the everyday line-up of the red. Spencer Steers flawless defense on the first basis could make it almost impossible for Encarnacion beach to regain this stain. Steer's bat has finally come to life and hit .291/.328/.436 in his last 15 games and ran with an 11-game goal.

However, the red have the ability to optimize Encarnacion beach to operate Triple-A and keep it on the squad of the bats until its services in Cincinnati are required.
