Akron teen killed in an accident with a vehicle in Springfield township

Springfield TWP. -An 18-year-old acron woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 241 in early May, said Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Isabelle Grubaugh was a passenger in a Volkswagen Jetta who was driven by a 22-year-old man from Hartville. The vehicle, which drives to the south of the Clayben Drive at 1:26 a.m., went off the right side of the street and hit a guardrail and a pension rod to stand out and upright on the street, said the patrol.

The driver was brought to the Summa Akron City Hospital with non -life -threatening injuries. Grubaugh died of their injuries.

Neither the driver nor the passenger wore their seat belt, said the patrol.

The accident remains examined. The patrol said: “Alcohol and/or drugs seem to be a factor of the crash.”

The police department of Springfield Township, the fire brigade of Springfield Township, Firstergy, Millers Towing and the Ministry of Transport at Ohio supported the patrol on site.
