Customer who was killed in the dispute by the Checkers work

Orlando, Florida (WESH) -A Fast -Food worker in Florida is charged after he has supposedly shot and killed a customer.

The police say that a verbal dispute over a grocery command led to the shootout.

Elijah Mackey, 23, appeared for the first time on Friday in front of a judge where he received no bond.

According to court documents, the shootout occurred on Wednesday shortly after 10 p.m. Osceola County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a Checkers restaurant on the West Irlo Bronson Highway.

A customer got his meal from the front window when he started to argue with an employee and asked to speak to a manager, according to court documents.

A witness said the customer wanted more mayonnaise packages with his order.

However, the situation escalated, and the authorities say that surveillance videos from Checkers showed how Mackey rose from a passage window and went to the front of the restaurant to speak to the customer.

A witness said that the customer then made a derogatory comment on Macke, and then the 23-year-old pulled a pistol out of his covenant and shot the man into his chest.

The MPs said that Macke was decreased by the scene, but they were able to hide him in a stairwell in the Celebration Suites shortly later.

The customer was taken to a hospital where he later died.

“The measures of this one employee do not reflect the values ​​of the thousands of our hard -working employees across the country,” said a Checkers spokesman in a statement. “We work closely with the police in their investigation and send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the guest.”

Macke is charged with a firearm of the intentional murder.
