The New York Knicks are facing a 2-0 deficit of the Eastern Conference in the Eastern Conference final, after they lost to the Indiana Pacers on Friday evening in Madison Square Garden. Jalen Brunson was not the reason for the disappointing two-game deficit.

Brunson was unstoppable in the first two games in the series.

In game 1 he scored 43 points on 15-opposite 25 shooting and five templates. He followed this performance with 36 points and 11 templates in game 2 and shot 13-to-27 from the field.

After his impressive performance on Friday evening, Brunson entered LeBron James and Michael Jordan Territory. He became the fourth player with five or more 35 points and 10 assist games in the playoffs. James, Jordan and Jerry West are the only other players who do this performance.

Statmamba divided these statistics into X.

To say that it is disappointing to be 2-0 after these two games from Brunson would be an understatement. New York faces reality that his season could end in the near future.

Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the Knicks, spoke with a blunt explanation after the defeat in game 2. He revealed what his team has to do to find ahead in the series.

“If you go to the fourth quarter, it is a TIE ball game. We just have to play better games and more competitions,” said Thibodeau.

Brunson was not only good against the Pacers. He played an incredibly high level throughout the entire post -season.

This year he played 14 playoff games and achieved an average of 30.4 points, 7.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds. He also shot 45.6 percent of the ground and 35.8 percent from the three -point line.

New York can't ask much more about his Star Point Guard. Other players have to increase their game around him so that the Knicks can come back and win the series.

Game 3 will be played on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. New York cannot afford to go 3-0, but Indiana smells blood in the water. It should be a very entertaining game that is a lot on the line for both squads.
