Huntsville man, who was killed in a wreck with a vehicle in Morgan Co.

Morgan County, Ala. (Waff) – A man from Huntsville was killed on Saturday in a wreck with a single vehicle in Morgan County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (Aleea), the wreck occurred at around 10:55 a.m.

The man killed was identified as a 39-year-old Jeremy S. Lumpkin. The authorities said he was fatally injured when the Lexus RX SUV 2009, which he drove, left the street, overturned and then hit a tree.

The authorities said Lumpkin did not use a seat belt at the time of the crash, and it was ejected from the vehicle. He was declared dead at the crime scene.

The crash occurred in Alabama 67 near the Ryan Loop Road, about three miles north of Hulaco, in Morgan County.

Soldiers from the Aleas Highway Patrol Division continue to examine.
