1 killed, 1 invited to the hospital after a collapse with a vehicle in Etowah County

Etowah County, Ala. (Wbrc) – A woman died after an accident with an individual vehicle on Wednesday, May 21st.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 40-year-old Lisa O. Fitters was killed when she was a vehicle that she was left as a passenger in the street and met a deduction in the Whitesboro Road near Beach Street in Etowah County, east of Sardis.

Alea says that after the initial impact, the vehicle had hit a house.

Fits was declared dead at the scene; The driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Kevin A. Owens, also from Boaz, was flown to the Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

Officials say that neither fits nor Owens wore their seat belt at the time of the crash.
