Pep Guardiola says he is waiting for the approval of the Club Doctor of Man City to allow Rodri to get back into the plot.

The Ballon d'Or won midfielder missed almost the entire season after suffering a serious knee injury.

But he is now training with the team and Guardiola has awakened the hope that he could be seen before the end of the season.

“We are very happy that Erling is back and Rodri is back in the training sessions,” said Guardiola.

“The moment the official doctor says Rodri can start playing minutes – after that he will start playing minutes, but the doctors have to tell me.
