The report shows that data injury risks E -Mail -weak spots pose for healthcare

In a new report, E -Mail is emphasized as Achilles' heel in cyber security in the healthcare sector. The Paubox report surveyed 150 IT executives in the healthcare system and found that 63% had reported data injuries or security incidents with e -mail in 2024.

The report, 60% of health organizations admit e -mail security errorsemphasizes what Paubox says is a broken infrastructure at the center of this problem, which is exposed to millions of avoidable risks. Although the Paubox report determines that e -mail is the top susceptibility of cyber security in the healthcare system, budget allocation to treat this problem usually varies between 11% and 20%, depending on the findings.

The types of email security incidents included in the report include: phishing, password and man-in-the-middle attacks, in which a hacker secretly passes on communication between two parties that believe that they communicate directly with each other.

According to the report, the speed, security or scaling of modern health care has emerged. Outdated systems form risks for patient care, operational stability and organizational security.

The report also offers five strategic recommendations to help hospitals improve security.
