Early life

Diggins was born in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the parents Tige Diggins and Renee Scott. She has three younger brothers – Tigen, Destyn and Maurice – and a younger sister, Hanneaf. In addition to basketball, she also played softball when she grew up. At the Washington High School in South Bend, DIGGINS was a four-year-old basketball letter that helped the Panthers to achieve a combined record of 102–7. She led the team to several state championship games, including the 2007 season, when Washington won the title.

She ended her high school career with 2,790 points and has the third highest girls in the history of Indiana with an average of 25.9 points per game. Her national awards include Naismith Prep Player of the Year, Gatorade National Player of the Year, Gatorade athlete of the Year and Miss Indiana Basketball. She was selected as WBCA All-American and took part in the 2009 WBCA High School All-America game and scored 24 points.
