David Cameron had “lost” the plot when he made the PPE scandal Tycoon Michelle Mone a Tory Peer, an ex-business employee claimed. The former Tory Prime Minister was behind the decision to increase Mone born in Glasgow in 2015 to the House of Lords.

The 53 -year -old Mone and her husband Doug Barrowman (60) are examined by the National Crime Agency (NCA) about a deal of £ 203 million to supply NHS devices in pandemic, and the former Ultimo BRA boss is on vacation. In two-part BBC, ex-colleagues on BBC iPlayer show the rise and fall of Michelle Mone-Auf BBC IPLAYER-EX-COLLEAGUES criticize the peerage decision.

It also deals with the Ultimo -Dessous company of Mone MJM International in the years before it was appointed, which revealed itself until 2012 that it had a loss of around £ 500. The PR consultant Jack Irvine, who worked with Mone in the 1990s, recalled that the filmmaker in the 90s was given a call from a top goal to tell him about the proposed peerage.

Irvine said, “I honestly laughed.”

He added: “I have the story, the fantasy world, the money they had lost, and all the things they had done, and I said:” Whatever, who is urging? “

“He said David Cameron and George Osborne. I remember that Cameron and Osborne have completely lost the conspiracy.”

Scot's businessman Douglas Anderson, head of the GAP Group based in Glasgow, wrote to Cameron at that time to protest against the appointment.

He said to the program: “I am a proud Scottish person and I don't like anyone, but above all it doesn't like that Scottish people are less than true.

“If the only thing she achieved was the self -publication, I don't think it is a very good reason to bring it to the House of Lords.”

Mone is said to have used her peer status to use a “VIPfast Lane” to recommend PPE MedPro – led by Barrowman – the government of medical devices.

She played a participation in the company for three years before admitting in 2023 that she had lied. Barrowman admitted to earning 65 million pounds with equipment, with £ 29 million being transferred to the trust in the name Mone and her children.

The government is sued 122 million pounds by the government due to breach of contract. The couple who lives on the Isle of Man had £ 75 million of assets, including real estate in Glasgow. They deny any misconduct.

In an explanation to the BBC, the couple's spokesman said that they had “made complete and detailed statements from the NCA and worked with the investigations. They were never arrested and no charges [have] brought against them ”.

Mone said she was “deeply disappointed” that a show has been broadcast “which seems to rely on misleading and one -sided reports about my life and my career”.

She added: “Without seeing the program or allegations in her entire context, it would not be fair to react individually to it.

“The allegations of my husband's company, PPE MedPro, are defended in court.” Cameron and Barrowman were asked for a comment.
