Two national championship rings don't seem to be enough for Uconn basketball strikers Alex Karaban.

The captain of the Huskies announced on Tuesday that he will return for one last season to end some “unfinished business”. By returning another season for Dan Hurley to Storrs, Connecticut, he has withdrawn his name from the upcoming NBA design, for which he originally declared.

“I am proud to accept challenges and keep myself the highest. Last year we did not achieve what we did and I do not run from the chance to do this right! After thinking about my future with my trainers and my family, I found that my heart remains, and I have a different national -national championship.

“Let us go back one last time! #Lastdance.”

This is the second time in his career that Karaban has withdrawn his name from the NBA design. He returned to Huskies last season after taking part in Chicago in Chicago last May.

As found by Jonathan Givony from ESPN, Karaban was projected as No. 35 perspective in ESPNS NBA -Draft -Ranktlists.

Karaban has been a staple from Uconn's starting line -up in the last three seasons because it founded one of his 111 college games. The native Southborough, Massachusetts, saw an increase in his goals last season when he became a prominent goal scorer, especially as a star newcomer Liam McNeely for a little of the year.

This is how Uconn Athletics's official X -account accounted to Karaban's announcement:

Karaban is a selection of the All-Big East Second Team in 2024-25 and played a team high of 35.9 minutes per game and scored an average of 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per competition. The addition of Karaban to the squad of the Huskies 2025-26 is a big get for Hurley, which also brought Georgia Guard Silas Demary Jr. and the Dayton Guard Malachi Smith through the transfer portal.

It was not Uconn to become the first team since the UCLA that won three NCAA tournaments in a row last season, since the huskies were switched off by later national champion Florida in the second round of March.

The huskies, who ended 24-11 over the past season, already have two games nonconference games against Arizona and Texas, which have already been recorded in their schedule for this next year. Uconn also announced on Tuesday that the former Villanova assistant, Mike Nardi, came to Hurley's employees in the same role.
