The season of Wheeling Central Vier-Torf, Magnolia's Field Event Success, lifts the WVSSAC State Track Finale | of news, sports, jobs

After the region's teams claimed four gold medals on Friday, five other champions were crowned from the local teams when the athletics season of the high school came to an end.

The 4 × 100-meter relay team from Wheeling Central, the team of Caleb Golden, Dom Gianangeli, Joey Hall and Braden McWreATH, in the men's class AA Relay with a new personal best and new school record-43.29 timing, was sized four times.

Wheeling Central won in class A last year.

“We knew that it would be a slaughterhampshire, Weir, Chapmanville,” said McWrath. “In our regional time it was very tight and we knew that we had to run our best splits of the season. Good exchange, handed over, they just take off and run through the line, that's all it was.”

“When we went into the season, we knew that we wanted to break the school record again,” said Gianangeli. “We knew we had to come out and get this medal again.”

McWrath leaves Wheeling Central as a four-time medalist, while the senior colleague Gianangeli, who started to pursue his second year, has three gold men for his efforts.

“It is surreal, it is a blessing, thanks to Jesus Christ,” said McWrath. “This is the best way to end my high school career.”

Hall and Golden are juniors. This was the first year in which Hall was at the track team.

“This is actually my first year with the running track, so it was really good to come here and to do what we do with my boys with my boys to 4 × 100 to do what we do.

Magnolia Blue Eagles' men's men's team took third place in very class A and fit with their destination last year. They reached their position on both days of the tournament from strong excursions. Matthew Anderson of Magnolia demanded gold in the Discus Discus Discus class of men's gold on Friday.

John Marshall Freshman Paislee Babiczuk ended her first high school round with a gold medal in the women's class AAA shot on Saturday and sent a throw with 37: 01.5 for the top position.

“I feel pretty good,” said the first year. “It was quite scary and I was pretty stressed for Shot Put, but I came out with the victory.”

It was a busy spring sports season for Babiczuk, who ended it in Charleston with a high note.

“It was difficult because I also played softball in spring, but all my trainers got it up,” said Babiczuk.

Valley Junior Laken Dawson called for gold- although in an event other than last year.

Dawson took first place in women's class A 200-meter dash and took 26.48.

Dawson earned gold in the long jump in the long jump and took second place in the event this year and fifth place in the 100-meter fittings board.

The versatile lumberjack has their goal for their final year.

“Next year I have to try to do both of the 200 and the long jump,” said Dawson.

Amos Kimble from Tyler Consolidated, fresh from a Friday where he won the 3200-meter run in men's class A, also took gold in the 1600-meter run on Saturday and ended 4: 19.87.

In the team, the third place in the Magnolia men in class A was the best execution of local teams. Tyler's men took seventh place in class A and her women took fifth place. The men of Wheeling Central became seventh place in class AA. Weir was sixth on the women's side in the AA class while Wheeling Central ended in Nintral. John Marshall's women were in seventh place in the AAA class.
