Josef Newgarden is aimed at his third victory on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Starting from the back of the network, the driver has to work hard.

The famous milk tradition
This tradition began from 1936 after Louis Meyer drank buttermilk after winning the legendary race. The argument? His mother assured him that he would rehydrate him after such a strenuous day.

33 cars for one reason
The reason for the odd number of cars in the starting grille comes from the American Automobile Association, which only enables one car per 400 feet. Of course there was the strange exception to this rule, but it is this weekend.

How many sausages?
If all hot dogs and bratwurst were sold during the event, they would end the circuit over three times.

Then against now
In 1913 Jules Goux won with a lead of over 13 minutes. In 1992 Al Suser Jr. won the victory with only 0.043 seconds.

Kiss the bricks
After the race, it is a tradition for the winner to kiss the courtyard of bricks that were found at the beginning/finish line. This tradition actually came from Nascar, but was finally taken over by IndyCar.
