Altfoto reused in claims of an Israeli strike, in which 9 children were killed in Gaza

Reports in the last 24 hours – including the Israeli media – were killed in Khan Yunis, Gaza, in Khan Yunis, Gaza.

The children, according to reports all under the age of 12, are said to have died when their mother, a doctor in the Nasser Hospital, was on duty and received the corpses of seven of them in the emergency room.

However, a more precise examination shows that the photo that accompanies these reports is not up to date. The same picture was published almost two months ago in connection with another alleged incident with the death of children in Gaza Strip, which was also attributed to an Israeli strike.

In addition to the recycled image, inconsistencies have appeared in various versions of the report. Some sources claim that ten children have been killed, others quote eight or nine. Details about the father's fate also differ: some say that he was killed, others report that he was wounded, and others suggest that he was not at home at all.

The reuse of an old photo and the contradictory details raise serious questions about the authenticity of the reports. Analysts suggest that the incident can be a case of disinformation or propaganda that damage the international reputation of Israel.

Israeli civil servants have not yet given a formal explanation of the claims.
