Speak to Tuoi Tre (Jugend) Zeitung, a representative of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam, the project's investor, said they instructed the contractor to inspect and address the problem.

Take contractor: no leak

A representative of the Hanoi Construction Corporation (Hancorp), the contractor responsible for the roof, confirmed Tuoi Tre That the water flowed to the Vietnam Airlines region on Saturday at 12 p.m.

However, they stated that this was not the same type of leak as during the previous rain.

Water flows from the roof on the floor at Terminal T3 of the International Airport Nhat in Hochi Minh City.

According to Hancorp, rainwater is collected from the roof of the terminal via a system of gutters and drainage pipes that lead to an underground shaft. A pipe connection had an incorrect seal, which means that water escapes.

Since the pipe is vertical, the water pressure was high, which caused a strong stream to flow onto the terminal floor.

Immediately after the incident, the contractor sent engineers and workers to the roof to inspect the entire drainage system.

The representative of the contractor confirmed that there is no leak.

The contractor replaced the poetry and sealed the connection on Saturday evening, said the representative.

The contractor said that comprehensive inspection was underway.

On May 7, Hancorp recognized that the rainwater leak was an “unfortunate incident”.

The problem did not come from the aluminum roof construction or materials, but from waterproof sealant on the joints that are ashamed or dissolve during the final procedure.

Despite Hancorps efforts to solve the first problem, the rain on Saturday showed that water leakage had not been fully tackled.
