Houston Rockets have to follow the NBA journeyman

The NBA veteran Dennis Schroder saw his share of teams in his 13-year career in the league. Schroder had the opportunity to dress for a total of nine NBA franchise companies, and before this season with the Detroit Pistons with the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers remarkable stops.

However, Schroder did not start the year with Detroit, since he was originally traded in a package for Spencer Dinwiddie in the middle of the 2023-24 season.

After this year was over, Schroder spent 1/3 of the 2024-25 season in Brooklyn before being traded on the Golden State Warriors and then again on the Detroit Pistons, where he was able to develop a solid role, while the players fought against injuries during the playoff playoff run.

During his 28-game stay with Detroit, Schroder managed to create modest 10.8 points and 5.3 templates, which shows that the 31-year-old security guard still has a lot of gas in the tank.

A team that could use a veteran presence and a solid evaluation option like Schroder from the bank are the Houston Rockets.

The rockets, which are completed by a great season from a No. 2 seed in the playoffs, seem to be missing one or two pieces to overcome this hump. In my opinion, one of these pieces is a point Guard that runs the second unit for the young Houston team.

While some may need larger shooting iron than Schroder behind the bow, Schroder has been a constant double -digit goal scorer in the league for over 12 seasons, which never slipped below average of 10 points per game.

It is uncertain whether the piston Schroder will offer another deal after Jaden Ivey will return with Cade Cunningham next season. And now that Cunningham will be considered for a Supermax deal next season, it may not be in the future of Detroit to spend money on veterans.

However, if the rockets are seriously found with solid evaluation options for a bargain price, the front office should certainly call Dennis Schroder.
