Timothy Spall as John Chapel

Who is John Chapel? John Chapel is a retired actor who became famous for his leading role in the British detective series Caesar. After the final of the show, however, he retired from the public to a rural home in Wales. By chance, he pulled out of his self -imposed exile when Detective (and fan) pounds Janie Mallowan on his door and asks for information about a recent murder in his neighborhood. The interaction triggers an unconventional friendship and crime partnership.

Spall said: “There is an originality and an emotional basis for the characters. They are both bad in recognizing their own mistakes, but excellent in showing each other, and these clashes are examined entertaining.

“Their unusual bond becomes strong and mutually dependent, although it has significant and challenging heights and depths. It was also nice to be asked by the creative team, to bring my own thoughts and ideas in John's character and how it should be developed.”

What else was Timothy Spall? Spall is one of the best -known actors in the UK and has expired in the BBC Dramen Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light and the sixth commandment. Previously, he played Peter Pettigrew in the Harry Potter film franchise, while he is also known for his collaboration with filmmaker Mike Leigh – including Secrets & Lies and MR Turner.

Gwyneth Keyworth as DS Janie Mallowan

Who is Janie Mallowan? Janie is a young and ambitious Detective Sergeant. She first sees John Chapel as an idol after loving his performance on Caesar, but his imperfections quickly become clear when she meets him personally. Your relationship is characterized by frequent disputes, but there is mutual respect and a mutual preference among all of this.

Keyworth said: “Janie tries to do everything through the book, while John turns everything about emotions, characteristics and feelings of emotion. Janie, on the other hand, does not want to feel anything and turns on all of this. But she realizes that her functional obsession can sometimes lead to the end goals and that you have to think more creatively.

“I think John encourages this and he encourages her to pack out why she acts in all aspects of her life.”

What else was Steffan Rhodri? Rhodri is probably best known for playing the role of DAVE trainers in the Smash-Hit-BBC-Sitcom Gavin & Stacey, which has recently returned to his last episode. His other credits include the historical drama The Last Kingdom, the Fantasy Epic House of the Dragon, the murder of the True Crime series Steltown and the youngest Welsh drama The Way.

Alexandria Riley as Baxter

Who is Baxter? Baxter is Janies colleague with the police, who specializes in forensics at the crime scene. She has a friendly relationship with Janie, who often works in a bit of joking and can talk to facilitate the mood of her serious work.
