The Ukrainian Foreign Minister describes air strikes on the third day of the prisoner change as the largest in weeks.

Russia targeted Ukraine for a second night in a row with drones and rockets and killed at least 12 people, as the two countries pursue a large prisoner exchange.

The Ukraine Air Force said on Sunday that the Russian armed forces had attacked the Ukrainian regions with 298 drones and 69 rockets overnight, one of the largest air strikes in the war.

“Most of the regions of Ukraine were affected by the enemy attack. In 22 areas, enemy air strikes were recorded, and Downed Cruise rockets and attacks by UAVS (drones) fell in 15 locations,” said the air force in telegram.

The Ukraine security service reported that at least four people were killed and 16 were injured in the capital Kyiv.

The country's emergency service reported that three children aged eight, 12 and 17 were killed in the Zhytomyr region, while another person was killed in the southern city of Mycolaiv.

Big prisoner exchange
