President Donald Trump knows one or two things about the stay in the conversation.

From the Super Bowl and College Football Playoff games to Daytona 500 and everything in between, the president is no stranger to great sporting events. When the “biggest day in motorsports” is on the calendar, he raises the question of whether Trump will be present?

The options are numerous on this Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend.

There is the Grand Prix of Monaco in Formula 1, the Coca-Cola 600 in Nascar and of course the Indy 500 in IndyCar.

After taking part in the Coca-Cola 600 in 2024 and Daytona 500 in 2025, the question asked whether the president would make the hiker to Indianapolis to read the “greatest spectacle in racing” on the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 109th Indianapolis 500.

Does Donald Trump go to 2025 Indy 500?

Trump will not be in the Indianapolis 500 in 2025.

During a visit to the White House on April 9, the president was invited by Indycar and Indianapoli's Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske. If there is always the possibility of a surprise visit or a change at the last minute, the president seems to be ready this year to skip the event.

The news of Trump, who decided to participate in the event, was first reported by Adam Wren from Politico. A person with direct knowledge of the situation said Indystar, part of the USA Today Network, the Speedway was the same understanding of the decision.

No sitting president of the United States has ever participated in the Indianapolis 500.
