Chicago (WLS) – A pedestrian was killed in an accident near Midway Airport on Saturday evening, the Chicago police said.

The police said that the crash was in the 5600 block of the South Archer Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

A 26-year-old man drove a silver vehicle to the east to the Archer Avenue when he tried to make a left-wing bend, the police said.

His vehicle then collided with a gray limousine that a 63-year-old man drove west.

The silver vehicle then hit a pedestrian, an 88-year-old woman. She was declared dead in a local hospital.

Nobody else was hurt.

CPD issued the 26-year-old quotes and examined the detectives from Area One.

The police did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
