The NBA legend offers hard words for Dukes Cooper Flagg

The 2025 NBA design class has long been with Duke Superstar Cooper Flag and for a good reason.

The easiest way to collect one of the best one-and-done college creations that we have ever seen. He led the Blue Devils to the Final Four, received several players of the year with awards and lived more than the hype than the future No. 1 selection that the Dallas Mavericks have.

In 37 games, Flag scored an average of 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game, while a total of 48%, 39% of three and 84% were shot on the line.

Despite his roaring success, a former NBA legend had some tough words for the future No. 1.

In a recently carried out podcast, the Grizzlies legend Tony Allen put on the flag debate, although it was not much of one with its dominance.

“I don't think Cooper Flag will turn their franchise around it,” said the former six-time all-defense selectee in the Grindcitymedia podcast. “I mean it seriously. I don't see KD. I just don't see it all. I see Andrei Kirilenko. I see that, brother.”

“He will be a unique all-star. I don't see it, not brother-only on these duchies.”

All was a long-ranking participant from Memphis and collected a stingy career that kept him as a “grindfather”, while he was generally compared with Andrei Kirilenko, is not a direct insult-Flagg fits even with the former jazz outstanding standout.

According to an earlier scouting report from NBA Draft on Si: “Is it not only the exact archetype of an NBA superstar with 6-foot-9 with the possibility of playing several positions and dominating both ends of the floor, but it is also extremely young. After it is newly classified in the high school, flag is only falling into his fall at 19 to two months.”

Despite all the comments, the Mavericks will not do without the clock in a month on the clock. He emitted the team with a two-way presence next to the stars in Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving and is a selection for childcare after the team's rise to No. 1. Especially after the outcome of Luka Doncic.
