Derek Carr from Saints confirms shoulder injuries, RIPS speculations

The quarterback from New Orleans Saints, Derek Carr, said he and the team were in communication in the offseason schoolchildren.

Carr confirmed his injury during a guest sermon in Church LV in Las Vegas at the weekend. It was the first time that Carr spoke about his shoulder since the news was published by a potential problem on April 11, three days before the saints started in phase 1 of their voluntary training program outside of the season.

Carr criticized ESPN and the media together with social media because he speculated about the nature of his injury.

“I have an MRI report to prove this. The team knows about it, we were in constant communication,” said Carr. “It is not wrong, we find out and we will continue with it.”

Carr has not been in the Saints facility since the beginning of the offseason program, but said that he and his wife Heather had planned to fly to New Orleans at the beginning of the low season. He said that Heather had a health problem and had a miscarriage during her planned journey.

“I say everything to say, let us be people who do not judge and point out how you don't really know what people go through, amen? And so we took care of our family. If it will believe, family, football will believe, family, football, no matter how the situation is,” said Carr.

Carr's confirmation of the injury took place a few days after the saints had moved in the quarterback Tyler Shough with their second round this year.

Mickey Loomis, General Manager of Saints, said “It will be a competition” when he discussed the role of Shough, but when he was asked to clarify whether this competition would be against a healthy Carr, Loomis followed the status quo.

“Yes, I mean, Derek is the starter,” said Loomis after the NFL design on Saturday evening.
