Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle Secure Champions League Spots missing as an angry villa

Associated Press

Manchester, England (AP) -Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle secured the remaining Champions League places on a dramatic last day of the Premier League season.

Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest were the big losers on Sunday – in the race for the top 5.

The villa had a feeling of injustice after a goal against Manchester United had just left a few moments before the deficit and finally lost 2-0 in Old Trafford.

A tie would have been sufficient for the Unai Emery team in one day, at which Newcastle lost 1-0 at home against Everton.

Chelsea beat Forest 1-0 to secure a return to the Champions League after two years of absence.

City ended the season with a 2-0 win against Fulham in third place. Arsenal was second behind Champion Liverpool.
