A girl is dead and two of her family members were seriously injured after a car accident in Franklin, Massachusetts on Saturday evening, and the driver of the other car was charged, including drunk.

It happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Grove Street when a car collided with a pickup. Michael Morrissey, District Prosecutor of Norfolk County, said the girl was taken to the hospital, where she later died. Her brother and mother stay in the hospital with serious injuries and her drivers were treated in the hospital and released.

None of the victim's identities or age groups was released.

The driver of the pickup, who was identified as an 21-year-old James Blanchard from Franklin, was arrested. He faces several charges, including three OUI counts, murder of motor vehicles, while he is negligent and under the influence of alcohol and operates a motor vehicle with an open alcohol container. It is held against a deposit of 500,000 US dollars and will be charged on Tuesday before the Wrentham district court.

On Saturday evening, a person was killed in a hit and run on Cape Cod in a hit and run. The police said that a 25-year-old man from Florida was located shortly after 11:30 p.m. on the street on Ocean View Drive near Long Pond Road. The man died at the scene.
