CPSO arrested woman because of the death because of the death she hurt she left behind on the street

Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) – A Lake Charles driver is accused of causing the death of a man after she supposedly beat him with a baseball bat and left him on the street, where he was hit and killed by passing the vehicle.

The incident occurred on Friday around midnight in the area of ​​the Opelousas Street near August Drive, as the Calcasiu Parish Sheriff's Office emerges.

The investigators identified the victim as Gene R. Hill Jr., 42, from Lake Charles.

The suspicious Tonnisha O. Mitchell, 43, was arrested in a residence on Sunday morning and the second degree was charged for battery and homicide.

Further investigations showed that Hill was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Mitchell, an argument occurred.

Witnesses reported that Mitchell had stopped the vehicle at that time, and Mitchell left the vehicle.

Mitchell armed herself with a bat that met her in the head and body several times, causing him to the ground.

Mitchell returned to her vehicle and fled from the scene.

Witnesses say that Hill could not pick up and leave the street before he was hit by two passing vehicles.

The MPs also learned that Mitchell tried to destroy and reject evidence in several places after the incident.

Mitchell's bond is still pending.
