The investigators identified the victim as Gene R. Hill Jr., 42, from Lake Charles.

The suspicious Tonnisha O. Mitchell, 43, was arrested in a residence on Sunday morning and the second degree was charged for battery and homicide.

Further investigations showed that Hill was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Mitchell, an argument occurred.

Mitchell returned to her vehicle and fled from the scene.

Witnesses say that Hill could not pick up and leave the street before he was hit by two passing vehicles.
