Six people were injured in an accident with two vehicles in the suburb of Grayslake on Sunday afternoon in the suburb of Far North Chicago.

At 3:24 p.m. the police and the fire brigade of Grayslake and fire brigade near Peterson and Midlothian Roads were challenged. The police said that a 2025 Corvette drove to the west on Peterson Road and left it left when they drove a GMC sports utility vehicle from 2020 to the east.

The SUV rolled over and a 12-year-old was ejected from the back seat, said the Grayslake police.

The fire brigade said that three other people had to be published from the two vehicles.

The crews worked for 25 minutes to free the patients, the fire brigade said.

Five people were stabilized and the sixth was in a critical condition, said the fire brigade. The victims were all brought to the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

The 12-year-old had to be moved to the Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago due to the adolescent's injuries.

The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team supported the Grayslake police in examining the crash.

Part of the Peterson Road was closed due to the crash.
