The investigation leads to the arrest of Statesboro Man

A man from Statesboro was arrested with a large amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl at the beginning of this week after the sheriff team of the sheriff office of the Sheriff of the Bulloch County was examined.

According to a press release from the Sheriff office, the crime press team began an investigation by Jamie Newsome after receiving a tip. The 46-year-old newsome from the Westlake Drive was suspected that she acted methamphetamine, fentanyl and prescription pills in Bulloch County.

The investigation caused the Sheriff Büro K9 MP and the Stadtrol MPs to contact Newsome near a Convenience Store in Statesboro on Tuesday, May 20th.

Further investigations caused the investigators of the criminal pressure team to receive and carry out search commands in the Newsome vehicles.

“The search resulted in about half a pound of alleged methamphetamine and fentanyl, different types of prescription medication and US currency,” the release says.

Newsome was arrested and charged with the following crimes:

Trading with methamphetamine, trading fentanyl, owning of Appendix 4 controlled substance on purpose, two counts of Schedule 4 controlled substance, possession of Appendix 2 controlled substance with intention, to distribute, four meters possession of attachment 2 controlled substance, possession of drug possession and drugs that are not in original containers.

Newsome was taken to Bulloch County's prison, where he is waiting for further measures. The examination remains active and people with information about the case are asked to contact the investigator Brandon Miller from Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Noel Brown said that he would like to encourage citizens to contact the crime suppression team with complaints about drug activities that they could suspect. All symptoms remain anonymous and are thoroughly examined, he said.
