Hundreds of honor veterans who were killed in the Missouri in battle in the 11th annual thunder

South Sioux City, Neb. (Ktiv) – The 11th annual thunder in the Missouri was Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of cyclists started in Sergeant Bluff, IA, and ended with a ceremony in South Sioux City.

“The journey itself is just an honorary mission to remember all those who could never really stop their uniform.

Hundreds of motorcyclists, Jeep drivers and classic car organizers gathered for hours in the Sergeant Bluff Community Center of camaraderie and the memory of those who gave their lives for their country.

“Civil life, people are, so to speak, said Hogan.

Hundreds of cyclists drove from Sergeant Bluff to Siouxland Freedom Park, where they presented the “thunder greeting” and held a ceremony for those veterans who had never returned home.

“I was lucky, and I was never really in a place where I was in combat or was in any danger to lose my life. For me this is my tribute back to you and my thank you. And, and never let her forget,” said Hogan.

Hogan said this event was important because veterans have found each other comfort and familiarity. He said that civil life could be lonely and it is nice to speak to people who understand military experience.

“It does not matter whether you have used or not or something else. You know that another military veteran understands what you did, where you were. And you ran in your shoes,” said Hogan.

“Every year it is a very small sacrifice for the victim that they have brought. They gave the rest of their lives. So for us it is an hour or two of our day. This trip honors people. It's not about the people who are in the way. We are all just faceless drivers,” said Hogan.
