Pacers lose Aaron Nesmith with the 3rd quarter of game 3 against Knicks with right leg injury

Indianapolis (AP) – The Indiana Pacers lost their top defender Aaron Nesmith with a bricked up right ankle in the middle of the third quarter on Sunday evening in game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks.

Nesmith ended up awkward when he jumped to throw a pass into the corner, sailed high and wrapped in the seats. After playing, Nesmith stayed at the bottom before his teammates helped him and then helped for the coaches.

Nesmith fought to put the leg in weight, needed support to leave the court and went straight to the changing room.

He had been Indiana's main defender on the all-star wachmann Jalen Brunson when the Pacers withdrew with 70-57 lead. Indiana leads the series 2-0 after winning the first two games in New York.
