Each part of the Midlands ranked on the new crime list

The Midlands Crime hotspots were classified due to new police forces from the police.

This undesirable title went to Stoke-on-Trent, who took 23rd place nationwide. Birmingham was next on the list in 24th place.

In the second city, over 136,400 non-dispositions were recorded in the second city last year.

While that was much higher than Stoke (30,600), Birmingham has a large population of around 1.1 million inhabitants.

Birmingham has a crime rate of 117.8 per 1,000 people and means that one of eight Brummies was victims of crime.

Elsewhere in the region, Leicester took 32nd and Wolverhampton 42 ..

Sandwell was in 69th place, followed by Walsall in 70th place.

The crime card shows the West Midlands as a crime hotspot with a number of areas in darker redshade.

At the national level, the 43 police forces in England and Wales recorded more than 5.3 million non-expenses.

As usual, the MET police had the greatest cases of the fall load with 948,000 crimes in London last year.

But Middlesbrough in the northeast was the area with the highest crime rate.

The newly published crime figures are also published by the results of the latest crime survey by England and Wales (CSEW).

In this annual survey based on personal interviews, the amount and effects of crime, including crimes that the police may not be reported, should measure.

The latest survey estimates that 9.6 million incidents of “heading” forces – including theft, robbery, criminal damage, fraud, fraud, computer abuse and violence with or without injury – took place in 2024

That was about 8.4 m more incidents than in the previous year, because the fraud and theft rise.

The fraud, for example, rose by 33%, with an estimated 4.1 million people falling victim to fraudsters, while theft rose by 13% to around 2.9 million crimes.

However, the CSEW shows that the crime against individuals and households has generally fallen in the past decade, but with some important exceptions such as sexual assault.
