Microsoft increases prices for Xbox video game consoles and controllers

Microsoft On Thursday it said that the recommended retail prices of its Xbox video game consoles and some controllers had increased due to the “market conditions” worldwide.

The announcement, which also affects some new first provider games, means that consumers will pay more for consoles during this holiday time, since they calculate with higher costs of President Donald Trump's extensive costs for imports.

“We understand that these changes are a challenge and they were carefully taken into account in view of the market conditions and the increasing development costs,” said Microsoft on a support page. “With a view to the future, we continue to focus on offering more opportunities to play more games on every screen and to ensure the value for Xbox players.”

Nintendo and Sony have also announced plans to calculate more in the past few weeks.
