Trump nominates Mike Waltz as a UN ambassador

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he would nominate his national security advisor Mike Waltz as a US ambassador to the United Nations.

Trump said that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio would serve as Interims National Security Advisor until this post was filled.

The announcement was made after several messages had reported that Walz would leave his post in relation to the controversial controversy about his creation of a signal -messaging -app -Chat -Threads used by Defense Minister Pete Hegseth to reveal us military plans.

The president had previously appointed Rep. Elise Stefanik, Rn.Y., for the UN Ambassador Slot. But Trump withdrew Stefanik's nomination at the end of March and quoted the very slim majority that the Republicans hold in the House of Representatives.

“I am pleased to be able to tell you that I will nominate Mike Waltz as the next ambassador for the United States at the United Nations,” Trump wrote on Thursday in a social contribution of truth.

“From his time in uniform on the battlefield, in the congress and as my national security advisor, Mike Waltz worked hard to put the interests of our nation first. I know that he will do the same in his new role,” wrote Trump.

“In the meantime, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will act as a national security advisor and at the same time continue his strong leadership in the Foreign Ministry. Together we will continue to fight tirelessly to make America and the world safe. Thank you for your attention for this matter!”
