F1 Miami picks and predictions

The first five races of 2025 were dominated by a team: McLaren.

The British constructor has won four times, including three for championship leader Oscar Piatri and one for the second -placed Lando Norris. Piatri and Norris have a combined podium place with just two surfaces outside the top three.

Expect that the papaya duo in Miami will be fast again, where Norris won its first victory last year. After a late damage, Piatri only made a 13th place there, although he made the fastest round of the race. This time it could be a real duel.

Beyond McLaren you always have to keep an eye on Red Bulls Max Verstappen. The four -time reigning world champion won in Miami in 2022 and 2023 before the last time he ran second against Norris. Red Bull did not have the pace compared to the past few years, but Verstappen got the best out of the car with a win and three podiums.

Charles Leclerc from Mercedes by George Russell and Ferrari was consistent this season, even though they didn't have a big pace in their cars. Russell has three podiums, while Leclerc achieved his first podium in Saudi Arabia last time.

The choice, however, is that Norris is in Miami in a row and limits the gap on his teammate in the championship fight.

Weather for the Grand Prix from Miami

The whole weekend there is a chance of bad weather. From Thursday, NBC Miami forecast a rainy probability of 50% with scattered thunderstorms together with mixed clouds and sun on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday there is a rainy probability of 24%. When it rains, the drivers have to use the wet tires and run with a little caution.
