The New York Rangers seem to be very close to the attitude of their next head coach.

According to Vince Z. Mercliano from USA Today, nothing has yet been confirmed or announced, but it sounds like things are getting closer and a lot against Mike Sullivan, who becomes 38th head coach in franchise history.

At the beginning of this week, the Pittsburgh Penguins separated with Sullivan after spending ten seasons with the organization.

The Rangers fired Peter Laviolet after a lack of 2024-25 season, in which the blues shirts missed the playoffs.

The President and General Manager of Rangers, Chris Drury, has direct connections to Sullivan and has been reportedly fascinated by the Stanley Cup profit trainer for years.

Several NHL insiders have reported that Drury was waiting for Sullivan to leave the penguins in 2021 before setting Gerard Gallant.

Now Sullivan is available and the stars are perfect for him to make their way to the Big Apple.

Since the penguins separated on Monday, there have been rumbling that Sullivan connected with the Rangers, and they have only recorded steam.

It only seems to be a matter of time before Sullivan is the head coach of the Rangers.
