Poseteclou gives James Maddison and Dominic Solanke injuries after the Sieg Tottenham updates

Poseteclou is confident that the injuries that James Maddison and Dominic Solanke have forced against Bodo/Glimt in the semi -finals of the Europa League are “nothing too serious”.

Maddison scored the outstanding moment of Tottenham's 3-1 win in the first leg when he controlled and ended an excellent long pass from Pedro Porro, the English manager Thomas Tuchel watched.

Solanke scored Tottenham's third from the penalty point, but both players were replaced in the second half after picking up knocking, with Maddison driving down the tunnel directly after “adjusting himself in his knee”.

Spurs will bring a two-goal advantage for Bodo for the return leg of the next week to end her 17-year-old Trophy Dürre, but the Norwegian champions fired a warning when Ulrik Saltnes retired late.

And Postecoglou hopes that Maddison and Solanke will be fit, and Tottenham, who was already on the edge for injuries and Lucas Bergvall without captain Heung Min and Lucas Bergvall after picking up an ankle injury in training.

“Madders felt a change in their knees, but it doesn't sound as if it were serious,” said Postecoglou. “Cathedral said something similar in his quad, but neither of them had the feeling that it was a little too important. We found it wise to take him off at that time.”

Postecoglou said it was too early to say whether Bergvall would miss the rest of the season after he was seen on the bench with crutches and his foot in a protective boot.

“It is very disappointed for Lucas,” said Postecoglou. “He had a big week back with the club and had such a great year for us. It is exactly the way our season is able to injure his ankle some harmlass during training.

“We will only assess and calm it down in the next few days, and we will find an opportunity for someone else.”
