The former national security advisor of the White House, Mike Waltz, seems to be communicating with other Trump officials in the signal after President Donald Trump was discouraged with the messaging app after the Leck Contro app, referred to as the “Signal Gate”.

A photo of Reuters' Evelyn Hockstein during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday shows that Waltz keeps his phone under the table, whereby the encrypted text is open and visible.

It also shows that Waltz has active discussions with at least six other users, including one that was identified as “JD Vance” – the Vice President.

The names of other users in the photo are partly covered by Waltz 'hand, but Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, director of the national secret services Tulsi Gabbard and Steve Witkoff, Trump's special representative in the Middle East and his de-Facto-Russland-Ukraine negotiation leader.

The time stamps visible on the threads show that they were only active on Tuesday or morning of Wednesday, the day of the cabinet seat.

When asked about a comment, the spokeswoman for the White House, Anna Kelly, told CNBC: “As we have often said, Signal is an approved app for the use of the government and is invited to government telephones.”

Nevertheless, it was the use of Signal by Top officials from the Trump management – including Waltz – at the beginning of this year, until the upcoming military strikes that triggered one of the greatest controversy in Trump's second term.

In mid-March, Waltz was part of a thread with Vance, Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth and others, in which the group discussed the upcoming air strikes about Houthi goals in Yemen.

Waltz accidentally added Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor -in -chief of the Atlantic, to the thread.

Goldberg reported that the app was used to discuss the sensitive military information and to trigger calls from Democrats for Waltz and Hegseth to step down.

Trump defended Waltz publicly and his government tried to justify her actions by claiming none of the information that was discussed about the threat was classified.

The Atlantic replied by publishing the entire text thread and retiring and questioning current military officers how this information could be regarded as not classified.

The internal WHOTHTHUSE of the Pentagon has opened an examination by Hegseth about his use of a “commercial messaging application for official business”.

In an interview with the old ancient, which was released two days before the cabinet seat on Wednesday, Trump was asked if he was experienced by a political lesson from the signal gate scandal.

“I think we learned: Maybe you don't use a signal, okay?” Said Trump.

“If you want to know the truth. I would honestly say to these people that they should not use a signal, even though it was used by many people,” he said in the interview, the last Thursday. “But whatever it is, whoever has it, who heard it, I wouldn't want to use it.”

Trump said he did not use a signal himself.

Reuters' photo drew attention to social media on Thursday afternoon, shortly after Trump announced his plan to appoint Waltz as US ambassador to the United Nations.

The announcement confirmed earlier reports that Waltz would soon leave his role as National Security Advisor, which marked the first major line -up of Trump's second term.

Rubio will serve as an interim National Security Advisor until this post is filled, Trump said about the social truth.

“I feel very honored to continue my service to President Trump and our great nation,” Waltz wrote later on Thursday.
