“We can find out”: Video shows the Metro Detroit Police Stop suicide attempt in the i-696 overpass

Warren, Mi – The police have published a video of officials who intervenes in a suicide attempt on an Interstate 696 Easter Sunday in Metro Detroit.

The Warren Police Dispatch Center reported reportedly at around 6.55 p.m. on April 20, several calls for an individual scaling of the barrier on the transfer to the Groesbeck exchange near 11 mile road, which indicates that they were preparing for the I-696.

According to a contribution on the Facebook section on Thursday, May 1st, several Warren police officers answered quickly and arrived to find a 32-year-old man via the security fence.

A video that was shared on Thursday contains part of a 911 report of a “guy on the fence” of a caller who drives past. Body Camera film material then shows the police, who succeeds with the individual and immediately summarizes with the official: “I'm done.”

Officers repeatedly encourage the man to speak to them with one and added: “We can find out together, everything in order? We all got a little through”, as officers of a second patrol car.

“I will help you get through it,” says an officer.

Additional film material in the two-minute 45-second collection of clips shows officers on the fence that reached the man when he started when he started to slip down the fence. The officials worked to pull the man over the fence and catch him and get him back to the ground.

The police said on Thursday that the man was taken to a hospital for a mental health examination at that time.
