The youngest NC State basketball visitors is now tended elsewhere

In a little more than two weeks since the outgoing Alabama newcomer Derrion Reid entered the transfer portal, the impulse has shifted once or twice in its recruitment. Most recently, the shift was at least in the eyes of many insiders from the NC State Basketball program for a SEC school.

For the most part on the trio of the front court team of the Wolfpack in the portal over two days at the end of last week, the need for Reid in Raleigh no longer appears as critical.

Last Monday, however, NC State Will Wade Wade Wade Wade and his cohort Reid were welcomed on the campus last Monday. At that time they undoubtedly looked like a top candidate because the Wolfpack employee was the first to make an official visit from the 6-foot 8 striker 220 pound strikers.

The following day, however, Reid was in Oklahoma to check the Sooners.

Now Chatter suggests that Oklahoma is the complete favorite to land the former five-star recruit from Georgia.

He also heard of the reigning national champion Florida and a handful of other programs between the SEC and ACC.

Derrion Reid, who was currently in 37th place in the transfer portal, took 10th place in 247sports 2024 Composite before scored 6.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per excursion as Crimson Tide Rookie.
