Two dead, six injured in the wreck in multi-car wreck in Harnett County :: Wral.com

Two people were killed in Harnett County near Angier on Thursday evening and six more injured.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP), the wreck occurred on the NC Highway 210 North and the Lipscomb Road at 9 p.m.

The wreck included three vehicles. NCHP said the collision took place when the driver of a Kia Forte tried to drive a car in the no-pass zone with 210 to the east. The forte hit a Honda CRV head -on. A Toyota Camry also hit the strength.

According to the authorities, two adults were declared dead at the forte at the crime scene. David Morales Ibanez and Kimberly Michelle Lopez-Matias died. Two male young people in the strength were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Honda CRV was taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries. Two more in the CRV were also taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Camry, who ran off the street and hit a tree, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The North Carolina Dot closed the highway for a few hours before it was reopened around 1:30 a.m.
