1 killed, 1 injured in Pompano Beach Shooting

Pompano Beach, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's office examines a fatal shootout that took place on Thursday evening.

According to BSO spokeswoman Claudinne Caro, the shootout was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. near the 3200 block of the Northeast First Avenue.

“The MPs of the BSO district and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue reacted,” said Caro in an e -mail to local 10 messages. “The MPs found a man who suffered from a gunshot wound on site. BSO MP immediately began to give life-saving measures.”

Video that were recorded at the crime scene shows MPs who give the victim to breast compression outside of a house.

Caro confirmed that paramedics transported the man to a local hospital in which he was declared dead.

She said a second man was also treated in the hospital after the shootout, but he suffered an injury that was not considered life -threatening.

The detectives of the BSO murder units examine the circumstances of the shootout.
