Q: What types of products and services do Walthers offer, especially for new customers who want to get into the hobby?

Dana Kawala: Walthers is the leading manufacturer of Model Railroading devices, especially in North America and all over the world. We not only offer locomotives and roller stocks, but also loading, landscape articles and structures. We are also a distributor for the products of other manufacturers, not only in HO -Skala, but also N, O and Z. The chances are available when you build a model railway, you will encounter Walthers.

Walther track Roadbed

Waltherrack Single Roadbed – 5 Pack, $ 16.98

Dana Kawala: In recent years it has been one of the things we noticed that it was more difficult to get Cork Roadbed. Some of the alternatives on the market were not satisfactory, so we decided to develop our own product.

What we have is a new street bed. It is not an open cell foam like other coral calves on the market. This is actually a closed cell material. It is designed in such a way that it corresponds to the Cork Road bed both in terms of height and in width. In many ways, Cork is superior because it is flexible. You can actually bend it by broad curves without sharing it. However, if you have to share it, it is extremely easy with a hobby or supply meter.

WaltherTrack Roadbed is now in stock for single and double track versions. It is also available in 1 x 3 foot leaves that can also be used to build foundations.

Visit the Walthers website for more information about the Walther track Roadbed.

Walther track Street Track

Close up the trail.
WaltherTrack Brick Street Track – 2 Pack, $ 29.98

Dana Kawala: One of the coolest things you can do on a model railway, especially if you have an urban scene, is the street. Regardless of whether you do this with a goods line that runs along an industrial corridor or whether you want to run a car via mainstreet, it makes it easy because it is delivered with the rails already embedded in the road material. We offer them in concrete, asphalt and cobblestones. They are also so large that they correspond to our Cornerstone Street system so that they can build an urban scene.

Walther Proto -Kala -Testauto

Walthers' 2025 HO product Highlights with Dana Kawala
Walther Proto test car, $ 55.98

Dana Kawala: This is a newly completed article from the Walther Proto line. These are patterns, but it is the first time that someone saw it. The scale tests are metallic and have different handrails and hatch arrangements that correspond to their specific prototypes.

The cool thing about this car for a model Railroader is that it will have several uses. You can use it to improve an operating session in industries and standards. It can also be a cool addition on a siding next to an industry. But these cars are really fantastic because Flatcar loads because they would travel between long distances.

We look forward to bringing them to the market this summer. They are the most detailed test cars brought to HO.

Visit the Walthers website for more information about the Walther Proto Testo.

Walther Proto EMD NW2

Close up of Switchers.
Walther Proto Ho -Kala NW2 Switcher, DC: 239.98 USD, Loksound V5 Sound with DCC: 352.98 USD

Dana Kawala: We have done a lot with CAB-END switchers lately, and this arrives in mid-summer. Our new Walther Proto EMD NW2 -Switcher will be available in phases 1 to four according to the street name. Like all Waltherproto devices, it is detailed with name-specific road handrails, lighting, horns, etc.

It is also available with a factory installed locomotive sound 5 DCC decoders or in the standard DC. One of the things we have done in recent years is that our proto locomotives not only have 21-pin DCC plugs, but also a preinstalled speaker. If someone buys the NW2 in the standard DC version and decides that they want to use their own decoder, it is now easy to do.

Visit the Walthers website for more information about the Walther Proto EMD NW2.

Cornerstone Merchant's Row Background Building Kit

Close up of the building.
Walthers Cornerstone Merchant Row Background Building Kit, $ 33.98

Dana Kawala: I am very excited about it and our cornerstones in general. It is a highlight for Walthers because we really have a variety of structures available.

This special building, Merchant's Row Background Building Kit, is part of a long -term series of popular structures because it is easy to build a small town. This is a low -profile or background version, which is basically a flatter structure. We took the full -size building, divided it into two halves or into thirds and you can set it against the background. It is a real space saver because you do not have to have this structure with full width, especially when many people build their city scenes on the shelves.

Merchant's Row offers many of the same functions that you would see in full size buildings. Different characters with decal and shop names as well as interior treatment will contain the interior of the building.

Visit the Walthers website to get more information about the Row kits of the Cornerstone Ho Medaner.
