Apple emphasizes three advantages of Apple Watch for children without iPhones

Since Watchos 7 in 2020, parents have been able to combine their iPhone with their child's Apple Watch. This option, which was previously known as Apple Watch Family Setup and is now marketed as an Apple Watch for your children, enables children to use an Apple Watch with a mobile phone plan for SMS, calls and location, even if they do not have an iPhone.

For children, a mobile Apple watch can be a springboard towards an iPhone, and Apple has now marketed this idea in a number of new ads.

On the YouTube channel in Canada, Apple shared three short videos to advertise the advantages of Apple Watch for their children's function. In every video, a child uses his mobile Apple Watch to write its parents. A mobile Apple Watch is recommended for full functionality, but only limited functions are available for Apple Watch models with only Wi-Fi.
