US war against the Houthis: Five things to see

The United States increased their offensive against the Houthis supported by Iran in Yemen after more than a month of air strikes, but they have continued to show resistance.

The campaign against the Houthis is the first great military operation ordered by President Donald Trump's second administration and is therefore regarded as a test for the will and military skills. The Houthis have destabilized a critical route for global shipping in the Red Sea, which the United States said to defend it.

US aircraft carrier maneuver

The United States lost a F/A-18E Super Hornet this week, with the officials said that it had fallen from the overboard USS Harry S. Truman into the Red Sea. Satellite images showed that the aircraft carrier made dramatic maneuvers days earlier, and at one time the Houthis said that they started rocket and drone attacks.

The US navy has strengthened its presence in the region and which also provided them USS Carl Vinson. The Houthis claimed attacks on both aircraft carriers.

The Houthis continued to start rockets in Israel on Friday with further attacks. The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said two hypersian ballistic rockets had been launched against the northern city of Haifa.

The Israeli defense forces (IDF) reported two cases of sirens that were launched in North Israel due to projectile from Yemen, without reports on injuries. Rümmer from a rocket catching damaged a kindergarten easily, as loud The times of Israel.

The Israeli military said it was able to intercept most rockets that were released from Yemen. The Houthis swore to escalate their war because the Islamist group of the Palestinian Islamist group of Israel attacked in Gaza in October 2023.

Support for the United States

Great Britain carried out on Tuesday with the United States at the military goals in Houthi military goals in Houthi destinations. The British Ministry of Defense said that the operation agreed with a long -term policy against the group, but it was the first time that she had joined operations under Trump.

Great Britain, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, the Seychelles and Spain were part of a multinational coalition under the former president Joe Biden to counter the threat from Houthis for the global shipping route. European countries later made separate operations.

The role of Iran

By beating the Houthis, it also sends a message to the supporters of the militia in Iran and to US regional allies, including golf states and Israel. Trump and his government threatened the Islamic Republic with “consequences” and accused them of fatal support for the Houthis.

Iran denies the claims and convicted the air strikes in Yemen, with the top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in March that the United States is in a state of “panic” about the growing resistance in the region.

The tensions have added a fuel to a fragile situation in a time difficult nuclear discussions between the United States and Iran and a military structure in the region.

Soil offensive

The United States said its military campaign destroyed hundreds of Houthi goals and fighters in Yemen. Experts said that this could be a forerunner of a soil offensive by the internationally recognized government of Yemen.

The United States did not say whether or how the government troops would support it in the fight against Houthis. Government officers have announced the military willingness to take over the Houthis.

General Michael Erik Kurilla of the US Central Command recently discussed the efforts to restore navigation freedom in the Red Sea at a meeting with the chief of staff of the US forces during a trip to the Middle East.
