Surveillance video shows moments in front of the Orlando police fatally shot near the apartment complex

Orlando, Fla. -N new surveillance video throws the light on what happened just a few minutes before a fatal shooting from an officer in front of an apartment complex in Orlando near the shopping center in Millenia.

The man who was shot by the Orlando police on Thursday evening was identified as 25-year-old Orlin Manuel Bueso Calderon. According to the Orlando police, the officials responded to several 911 calls, in which a man waved a weapon near a 7-eleven and in the nearby companies along the Conroy Road.

The news 6 received monitoring material from Royal Touch Cleaners, in which Calderon goes into the store that holds a black pistol. The owner of the business, Joseph Alce, said Calderon said no word.

“We were sitting here and doing business and this guy came to the front of the shop and held something. He came out with a gun and my friend said: 'Go out hell.' He stood there, dropped the weapon and then picked them up again, ”Alce told News 6.

The video shows how Calderon stays near the counter before going out. Shortly afterwards, the police found him in the Bella Vita Apartments car park, where Witnesses claim that officials granted several commands before they opened the fire.

Eileen, who lives in the complex and experienced the confrontation, described the moment when Calderon went through the parking lot.

“He had a drink in one hand and one weapon in the other. The bulls told him to drop it, but he wouldn't do it. So they had to do what they had to do,” she said.

Another neighbor, Lynn, said that the shootout had taken place so quickly that it hardly had time to react.

“It was so fast. I was lucky that I was behind my husband. I was afraid,” she said.

The police later confirmed that the weapon in Calderon's hand was a BB or pellet gun that resembled a real firearm. Officers gave both English and Spanish before shooting.

Orlando's chief of police, Eric Smith, defended the officials of the officials on Friday during a press conference.

“It is a very dangerous situation. The officials have their lives every day to protect us. It is a decision with split seconds when they see someone who shows a gun in their direction,” said Smith.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement now leads the investigation. All five officials involved in the shootout were put on administrative leave, which is the standard protocol.

At this point, the police did not release a picture camera film material or said whether mental health may have been a factor.
