Crash with Tour van and truck near Yellowstone National Park leaves 7 dead back

Seven people died when, according to Idaho State Police, a pickup and a tour van near Yellowstone National Park collided in Eastern Idaho on Thursday evening.

The crash took place on the US Highway 20 near Henry's Lake State Park around 7.15 p.m. local time.

According to the state police, 14 people were in the Mercedes passenger van, and the driver was the only person in the Dodge Ram at the time of the crash.

Six of the passengers in the tour van were declared dead for both dead and for the driver of the pickup. Officials did not provide any information about the condition of the other van passengers.

None of the victims were publicly identified.

The highway, which drives along the eastern side of Idaho to the western entrance to the National Park in Montana, was closed for about seven hours when first aiders examined the collision.

The cause is still determined.
