New crime complaints this week

Missoula, Mt (KGVO-AM News) – The Missoula County public prosecutor Submitted 15 new crime complaints this week, which are three less than last week and exactly the weekly average. District Prosecutor Matt Jennings provided the report.

“We had a day this week on which there were no arrests of crimes, and that is quite unusual these days,” said Jennings. “Maybe we have no arrests of crimes once or twice a year. But we had 10 violent crimes this week. They may remember last week that we only had four violent crimes, which is actually a very low number.

Jennings said there were four cases in the family.

“Two of them were strangulations that we take very seriously,” said Jennings. “We have really learned a lot about the physiological damage, can cause the strangulation for a person's body and brain, and that is one of the reasons why it received their own law. We spend so much time to concentrate on the persecution in these cases because it is only extremely dangerous.”

In addition, there were three cases of violence without family violence and two cases of sexual assault.

“There was a case of animal abuse and they are really heartbreaking,” said Jennings. “Obviously most of our victims are people, but it is really sad when we see someone who abused an animal. We had two hazard breaks and just a crime of property. A few years we saw a little increase in a real estate criminal epidemic, and we were both on the lower levels and on the lower levels.

However, Jennings said that they still see a small number of people in our community who commit several shoplifting crimes. There were also two drug crimes this week.
