Highlights: Start FP1's action in Miami while Piatri sets the pace

The championship leader Oscar Piatri picked up from the point where he stopped in Saudi Arabia by crossing the only training session for Miami Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver set the pace in the last moments of the session, which was restricted four minutes earlier when Haas' Ollie Bearan found the wall in curve 12.

FP1: Piatri leads Leclerc and Verstappen during the sole Miami -GP exercise meeting

Piatri's 1m 27.128S -Benchmark proved to be 0.356s faster than Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, while Red Bulls Max Verstappen finished third – another 0.074s behind. Lando Norris was only able to manage the 12th fastest time in a session that began that his team sent him the right way with some loose tools in the cockpit.

It turned out to be a strong practice for Williams with Carlos Sainz Vierter and Alex Albon fifth ahead of the Isack Hadjar of Racing Bulls. Mercedes' George Russell used to reach the Times before taking seventh place.
