The police identified women who were beaten and killed when crossing the old Washington Road Road

Waldorf, Md. – The authorities identified the women, who was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Waldorf as Elizabeth Ann Akers (56) from Waldorf on Thursday evening.

According to the Charles County's office, Aker tried to cross in a wheelchair near the trading zone court in a wheelchair around 8.17 p.m. when she was hit by two vehicles – one trip to the south and the other to the north. The investigators say that at the time of the collision, she was not on a crosswalk.

Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperate with the ongoing studies. No fees have been announced.

The crash closed the street for several hours when members of the transport company documented the scene. Everyone with additional information is asked to contact PFC Walker at 301-609-3251.
