The police said the manager called the police after noticing that two young children were alone on the playground without adults.

An answering official said that the children aged 4 and 9 were found in a “dirty state”.

“He said we can stay there for 10 minutes,” says a child in the video.

They received juice in the restaurant before their father Yves Benjamin returned, the authorities confirmed.

According to the police, Benjamin returned to the Fast -Food restaurant at 8:05 p.m., and the surveillance video showed that he had left at 7:28 p.m.

He claimed that he had asked a “random” adult there to watch his children, but every adult in the restaurant confirmed that Benjamin had not addressed them, the report said.

“You just never know who is lurking around,” said Kessler Brooks, police captain North Miami. “It is not a certain thing to leave the children unattended for every period. We have seen too often.”

According to the report, Benjamin granted no necessary care, supervision, food or water for his children during his absence.

“Anyone who thinks that he can leave a 9-year-old and a 5-year-old alone in a public environment, absolutely wrong, not even for a fraction of the second,” said Brooks. “Please do not turn your back on your children. Everything could happen. Not everyone has the best intentions out there.”

He was arrested for neglecting children.
