The young missionary about bicycle die during hit-and-run crash, say the authorities say the authorities say

Charlotte, NC (Gray News)-A 18-year-old Mormon mission was killed in an accident on Thursday evening.

After the Church of Jesus Christ of the saints of the last few days, Elder Aleki Langi died after a driver lost control of her vehicle and beat it on a sidewalk.

“With a lot of sadness, we share a tragic accident in North Carolina with a tragic accident,” said church representatives.

The church confirmed that a second missionary also suffered minor injuries in the accident, which took place in the Beatties Ford Road.

Witnesses reported the missionaries to see on their bicycles before they were hit by the vehicle.

Several outlets reported that the driver, who was not immediately identified by the police, started the scene after the collision.

The leaders of the church said that Langi started his mission service in March and had a temporary re -assignment in Charlotte while waiting for a visa to serve in Jamaica.

“We expand Elder Langi's family, friends and other missionaries in this difficult time our deepest condolences and our love,” said the church. “We pray that they will feel the comfort and peace of the buoyancy when they mourn for his death and honor about his committed mission service.”
